Man City favourite Scott Carson has posted a random Tweet about West Ham star Lucas Paqueta and it’s just brilliant.
There is a strong affinity between the fanbases of West Ham and Manchester City these days.
A genuine mutual respect between the Hammers and Man City has been born out of being what one another views as “proper clubs” and “proper supporters”.
There is also the fact both have had to endure the majority of their history in the shadows of more decorated rivals.
West Ham have never reached the depths Man City have. And they may never reach the heights of the modern day Etihad outfit either.
West Ham did taste some of that glory when they ended a 43-year trophy drought by lifting the Europa Conference League last week.

Manchester City then joined the Hammers as European champions when they won the Champions League on Saturday.
That put the seal on a magnificent treble for Pep Guardiola’s side.
And that meant more medals for Man City favourite Scott Carson.
The English goalkeeper has become a cult hero at the Etihad. He is said to be crucial to team spirit if only realistically at the club to help fill the homegrown quota.
Now the love-in between Man City and West Ham continues.

West Ham’s Brazilian magnifico Paqueta was outstanding during the final few months of the season.
And that culminated with a superb last gasp assist for West Ham’s winner in the final against Fiorentina.
That saw West Ham fans belting out the hilarious chant ‘Just sold my car to Lucas Paqueta’ long into the night and coming days.
Now Carson is getting in on the act too.
So random it’s hilarious
Man City’s stars have been partying hard since sealing the treble. And it showed as Carson took to Twitter with hilarious results.
A Celtic account posted a tribute to treble winner Carson alongside pictures of the former England ‘keeper with his family and trophies.
His response? The West Ham chant about Paqueta of course!
“I’ve sold my car to Lucas Paqueta,” Carson simply responded.
The post had West Ham and Man City fans in stitches.
Supporters of both clubs were lapping it up.
Some asked for context. But the fact is there is none, Carson is simply loving life and has clearly been enjoying his celebrations.
