Mubama the Hammers answer
Mubama is the Hammers answer
West Ham’s striker problems have been endless down the years but with worries again arising we have a player who can help us overcome the problems we may face up front next season – Divin Mubama looks the answer.
What with Seb Haller having been shipped out in the past and the likelihood of Michail Antonio leaving, along possibly with Gianluca Scamacca, we may be back close to square one !
Danny Ings is clearly not the answer front given David Moyes’ preference for bustling and battling old fashioned centre forwards.
But look to the academy and there is the answer in the shape of teenager Divin Mubama who can save us a fortune in the transfer market,
Like Claret and Hugh blogger and former academy director Terry Westley, we believe the teenager should have got perhaps 10 games last season as he showed the sort of tenacity and attitude of which the manager approves,
He is big, strong scores goals and knows how to get behind defenders and into goal scoring positions rather like Tony Cottee in years gone by.
Let’s make no mistake about it, he is a top prospect and has looked more than ready to take his chances when first team calls have come along.
In the defeat at Brentford, he set up a wrongly disallowed goals and turned in a hugely energetic performance when coming on as a sub.
It has been much the same whenever he has appeared and it will bitterly disappointing if he continues to be kept waiting!
This lad has more than earned his chance!
