The 2023-24 Premier League summer window is officially open, with clubs looking to add to their respective squads ahead of the upcoming season.
Last year saw the Premier League set a new spending record of £1.9billion. This summer could see clubs in England surpass the whopping sum.
The new season is set to kick off on the weekend of August 12/13. It is likely that the first fixture is held on Friday, August 11.
This summer’s window will run until Friday, September 1 and is set to close at 11pm.
With the summer transfer window officially open, which big players could be on the move? Mail Sport provides the answers below.
The Premier League transfer window is officially open, with Declan Rice’s future set to be one of the main talking points
Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount could be on his way out, with Manchester United keen on the player
Declan Rice
One of the biggest deals of the summer could see Declan Rice join Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.
Mail Sport reported last week that the Gunners are ready to table £90million bid for the West Ham star but face paying the West Ham skipper’s full transfer fee inside two years. The Hammers want the guaranteed portion of Rice’s transfer fee paid by next summer.
With West Ham’s season now over, Arsenal could hold talks with the club about Rice this week at a Premier League chief executives meeting .
David Moyes had a meeting with David Sullivan last Friday to discuss his role and the club’s state of play, with discussions still ongoing over a technical director being appointed.
The midfielder recently revealed to a young Hammers fan that he will be going nowhere this summer.
Asked which club he is going to join, Rice replied: ‘Nowhere, I’m West Ham.’
When asked to pick a side to join, he said: ‘Nah, I don’t, West Ham’s my one.’
Rice recently guided West Ham to their first trophy in 43 years when they defeated Fiorentina in the Europa Conference League final
Mason Mount
Chelsea’s Mason Mount could be another player on the move this summer, with Manchester United looking to strengthen their midfield.
The Red Devils are reportedly set to table a £50m offer to sign the Englishman, but is valued at around £85m by Chelsea.
With Mount’s current deal set to expire next year, both the player and Chelsea are no closer to agreeing a new contract.
The new Blues boss Mauricio Pochettino believes Mount can play a major part in his Chelsea revolution.
While a fee is yet to be agreed between United and Chelsea, it doesn’t look like personal terms will be a stumbling block.
Liverpool were also in for the player, but the club is no longer considering a move for Mount during the summer’s transfer window after being deterred by Chelsea’s high asking price, according to reports.

Harry Kane
Tottenham’s Harry Kane is another who could be on the move this summer.
Speculation continues to surround Kane’s future at Tottenham after the club missed out on European football following a dismal season that ended in an eighth place finish in the Premier League.
The England captain has long been reported as Manchester United’s top summer transfer target, with manager Erik ten Hag seeking reinforcements to his forward line.
Kane is reportedly only interested in a move to Old Trafford and is prepared to see out the remaining year of his contract if a deal cannot be agreed.
However, recent reports state that United are said to be increasingly unlikely to sign Kane this summer with Tottenham having made their stance clear.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has no plans to sell the player and remains firm that if they do it won’t be to another Premier League team.

Moises Caicedo
Brighton’s Moises Caicedo has attracted attention from several top clubs across England following his season with the Seagulls.
After missing out on Manuel Ugarte, who has recently signed for Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea are eyeing Caicedo – who is valued at around £80m.
With Chelsea in for Caicedo, the Seagulls are interested in defender Levi Colwill.
Mail Sport reported in May that Brighton offered £30m for defender Colwill but Chelsea do not wish to sell the 20-year-old and want to find another solution.
Arsenal are also in for the midfielder, who have already agreed personal terms with the Ecuadorian.
According to Teradeportes, Caicedo is eager to play in the Champions League and Arsenal are his priority at present.
However, the report states that Chelsea are eager to pay a higher fee for Caicedo, although they won’t be involved in Europe next season.

Federico Valverde
Liverpool have reportedly had a £51m bid for Real Madrid star man Federico Valverde rejected.
Valverde is one of Madrid’s most valuable players after his impressive campaign with Los Blancos.
The Reds are wanting to improve their midfield and have reportedly made Valverde a transfer target after already bringing in Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton.
Jurgen Klopp apparently likes what he has seen from Valverde and has attempted to negotiate a transfer for the midfielder, according to El Nacional.
Valverde’s appears to be in Madrid after he signed a contract extension two years ago that will keep him there until 2027 and includes an £856m release clause.
While Liverpool’s £51m offer was quickly rejected, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez ‘will not enter negotiations for anything less than £85m’.
