According to Gazzetta Dello Sport contact has been made with Juventus to secure the services of the Chelsea loanee and Juventus-owned Denis Zakaria this summer.
They have quoted a transfer fee of £17.2million for the Swiss midfielder. It appears that he is technically still on loan at Chelsea for another six days and his performances in the Premier League have hardly been world beating. He failed to make a mark at a team filled up with superstars where it was easier for him as Chelsea dominate possession in most games and are usually favourites.
West Ham will be undergoing a rebuild and every player will need to perform at his level best, especially in midfield, with Declan Rice leaving.
The Switzerland World Cup 2022 midfielder is certainly not that and the Hammers need to be looking at making better signings to cope with Rice’s absence.
