Bad news for West Ham in race for £42m star Giorgi Mamardashvili as Tottenham reportedly could release £100k-a-week ace.
According to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport (print edition June 26th, pages 2+3), Tottenham could release Hugo Lloris on a free transfer, despite the fact that he still has one year remaining on his current £100k-a-week deal (Spotrac).

Now, that could affect West Ham, with both us and Spurs in the race to sign Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia (90min).
Hammers boss David Moyes would do well to sign the Georgia International this summer – he’s a superior goalkeeper to both Lukasz Fabianski and Alphonse Areola in my opinion.
However, the Scot might just have his work cut-out if Tottenham do allow Lloris to leave the club this summer…

Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Inter Milan are keen on the 26-year-old Spurs stopper. And as a thank you for 11 years service, Tottenham could allow him to leave on a free transfer.
Should the French World Cup winner leave this summer, Ange Postecoglou will obviously be keen to replace him.
Tottenham have just signed Guglielmo Vicario, but the Australian will want more competition for the role between the sticks and Mamardashvili would certainly provide that.
I really want the Valencia ace at West Ham, so losing out on him to Tottenham would be a huge blow for us as far as I’m concerned.
Described by Verge Magazine as ‘excellent’ and a ‘rising star’, Mamardashvili really is an elite goalkeeper in the making.
Standing at 6ft 6in, the Georgian cuts an incredibly imposing physique and he commands his penalty area with real authority. He is a really good shot-stopper, as you would expect someone of his size and stature to be.
The 22-year-old is really highly rated in Spain. He has conceded 71 goals in 63 games for Valencia and has kept 18 clean sheets in the process (Transfermarkt).
The Valencia ace would be a huge upgrade on Fabianski and Areola at the London Stadium in my opinion.
Sempre Inter recently claimed that Valencia will demand around €50 million (£42 million) for the giant goalkeeper.
However, with Tottenham apparently open to releasing Hugo Lloris, it might well be more difficult for West Ham to sign Giorgi Mamardashvili this summer.
