PSG to make mega bid for West Ham star
News stories in France are suggesting that PSG are about to make a mega bid for West Ham midfielder Lucas Paqueta. Last week Claret & Hugh broke the news that the Brazilian had changed agents and was interesting foreign clubs.
Paris Saint-Germain are reported as having a keen interest in the Hammers star. Whilst no figure has been mentioned, the oil rich club are willing to do whatever it takes to sign the player. That’s according to a recent report from L’Équipe, who claim the French giants, are keen on bolstering their squad ahead of next season.
Paqueta, 25, has been in impressive form for West Ham, showcasing his technical ability, vision, and versatility in midfield. He may have started his Hammers career slowly, but he was in tremendous form for the seasons climax. As a result many of Europe’s top clubs have taken notice and cast envious glances towards East London.
However, West Ham will likely be reluctant to part ways with their prized asset. The Brazilian playmaker has quickly become a vital cog in Moyes’s midfield, playing a pivotal role in their recent success, including providing the assist for Jarrod Bowen’s Europa League Conference goal earlier this month.
In truth there are not too many clubs in the world who could afford Paqueta. Serie A are not paying extortionate transfer fees and even the Spanish giants are having to cut their cloth. The Premier League is awash with so much money that it’s hard for the continental clubs to compete. But PSG are a different proposition entirely.
If the Qatari owned club decide they want Paqueta, there is very little West Ham can do about it.
