Lazio reportedly fear West Ham United could beat them to the signing of Bologna ace Jerdy Schouten this summer.
According to a report from Corriere di Bologna (print edition June 30th, page 8), Bologna believe it will be impossible to keep hold of Jerdy Schouten, if West Ham do indeed come in for him in the summer transfer window.
West Ham have been strongly linked with a move to sign the midfielder before.

And Lazio believe that the East London club represent the biggest danger to their hopes of signing the Dutchman.
Hammers boss David Moyes will be desperate to bolster his central midfield ranks at the London Stadium this summer with Declan Rice set to join Arsenal.
And it seems as though Moyes has someone specific in mind for the job…
Club believe it will be impossible to stop West Ham signing midfielder Jerdy Schouten
Corriere di Bologna reckon that Bologna and Lazio both believe that it will be impossible to keep the Dutchman from the Hammers’ grasp, if Moyes does make a move to sign him this summer.
I think that Schouten would be a very smart addition for the Hammers, albeit not a hugely exciting one.
He is a defensive midfielder by trade but can also operate further forward if need be.
In 33 Serie A appearances last season, the 26-year-old bagged two assists. During those outings, Schouten averaged 1.9 tackles, 1.2 interceptions and 1.2 clearances per game. He also made an average of 45.2 passes per game and recorded an 87.1% completion rate (Who Scored).
The Dutch ace fits the physical profile of player Moyes usually likes to sign, what with his impressive strength, work-rate and stamina levels. Sempre Inter describe the Bologna ace as an ‘outstanding’ player.
Jerdy Schouten is a very reliable performer and would be a strong squad addition for West Ham. Sempre Inter claimed he will cost around €15 million (£13 million).
However, it must be said that Moyes needs to bring in a marquee midfielder signing as well as the Bologna ace this summer, if the Hammers are to make any kind of progress over the next couple of years.
