According to the Liverpool Echo, Liverpool continues to be strongly linked with Romeo Lavia and is preparing to make a move to secure his signing from Southampton. Following their successful acquisition of Dominik Szoboszlai, the Reds are now targeting the 19-year-old midfielder.
Liverpool are making preparations to submit their initial offer of approximately £51.4 million (60 million euros) to lure Lavia away from Southampton.
Reports suggest that the Reds are actively working to strengthen their squad, particularly in the midfield area. The club is determined to make a significant investment to outperform competition from Premier League rivals such as Chelsea and Arsenal.
Southampton has set an asking price of £50 million for Lavia, and Liverpool should be able to meet this valuation to secure their primary target for the defensive midfield position.

While Lavia is still developing and has yet to fully establish himself, the interest from top Premier League clubs highlights his potential as a highly talented youngster.
If Jurgen Klopp successfully signs the teenage prodigy, it is expected that Lavia would initially serve as an understudy to Fabinho, rather than immediately breaking into the starting lineup.
Klopp has already bolstered his squad with the signings of Alexis Mac Allister and Szoboszlai. However, Liverpool could potentially enhance their squad further by acquiring Romeo Lavia, particularly considering recent links suggesting Thiago and Jordan Henderson might be on the move.
Lavia’s potential arrival would provide additional strength in midfield, potentially offsetting any potential departures and ensuring Liverpool maintains a strong squad depth under Klopp’s management.
