Manchester United have offered Jadon Sancho to Tottenham Hotspur this summer
Manchester United have apparently offered Tottenham Hotspur the chance to sign Jadon Sancho this summer.
This is according to the Independent, who say that there hasn’t been much feedback from Spurs yet about a possible move. Sancho signed for us from Borussia Dortmund.
It was a long chase for Manchester United, who ultimately ended up agreeing on a massive £73million fee. But he wasn’t an Erik ten Hag signing. He came before the Dutchman.
And in football, we have seen that players who played regularly for their clubs could become an outcast all of a sudden under a new manager. One of the first things Ten Hag did as Manchester United boss was pursue Ajax’s Antony.
Sancho to Spurs?
The Brazilian was a much-hyped signing and has won Ten Hag’s trust in their lineup. Marcus Rashford hogs all the playing time down the opposite flank, so Sancho can struggle for playing time in the near future.
If the Red Devils have offered Sancho to Spurs, they are probably looking to cash in on him and admit that signing him wasn’t their most glorious moment in the transfer market. But what should Spurs do?
On paper, it looks like a decent move if Sancho keeps himself fit and motivated. His playmaking skills and dribbling ability are well completed by his finishing skills in the final third.

He is also just 23 and can improve with time. He is two years into his five-year deal at Old Trafford (Transfermarkt) and hasn’t made much of an impression in England. If Spurs can get a cut-price, bargain deal for Sancho, we must get him to increase our depth down both flanks, especially after Lucas Moura’s departure and Bryan Gil’s stagnancy in development.
