Sean Dyche is the man to revive Dele Alli’s flagging Everton career.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Tottenham and Aston Villa defender Alan Hutton suggested Dyche is the kind of manager that will be able to get the best out of Alli.
The 27-year-old has endured a difficult spell since leaving Spurs last summer and spent the 2022-23 campaign on loan at Besiktas.
But the midfielder found minutes hard to come by in Turkey and struggled for form throughout a disappointing season.
As shown by the Daily Mail (7 July), Alli was pictured training with the Toffees following his underwhelming loan spell.
Dyche is believed to be open to working with the outcast but insisted he needs to get fit first.
Hutton insisted the Everton boss is the man to revive Alli’s career.
“This is one of the strangest topics in football,” he told Football Insider.
“This is a guy who, under Pochettino, was outstanding. Has he taken his eye off the ball? Have things off the pitch affected him? Was he given too much too soon?
“There is a whole host of things that could have gone wrong. Only he knows what it takes to get back.
“If the opportunity is there to stay at Everton, under Sean Dyche, I think he could get the best out of him.
“I think he needs someone like that to give him some tough love and get him back to a high level and the amazing player he was. We all know it is in there it is just about bringing it out.“
