West Ham linked to Iwobi

And the latest in a seemingly endless conveyer belt of mid fielders linked to West Ham is…. the Everton midfielder ,  Alex Iwobi.

Valued at £25m, he joined Everton in 2019 and has been part of their first XI ever since.

Described as an attacking midfielder, his numbers say otherwise. He has scored just the six goals in nearly four seasons for the Toffees , and Fbref give a metric of only 0.05 goals per 90 minutes .

Of course, we need to reinforce their squad this summer, not least a midfield that has lost our talismanic captain to the Gooners, but surely we can better than Iwobi.

To make matters worse, even if we were interested, he is apparently one of the higher paid players in the club, earning a not inconsiderable £100k per week.

What with spectre of FFP looking over the Irons shoulders, this particular piece of transfer rumour does not tick any boxes whatsoever.
