Gabriel Martinelli has left Arsenal fans in stitches after he was caught poking Thomas Partey’s bum during Declan Rice’s announcement video.
The Gunners finally confirmed the arrival of the 24-year-old on Saturday in a deal rising to £105million.
Arsenal unveiled the signing of the England international on a YouTube live stream, with the squad all in attendance for a team meeting.
But it appears that Brazilian forward Martinelli was unaware he was being filmed live for fans around the world, as he decided to hilariously wind up his teammates.
Before Mikel Arteta welcomed Rice – and fellow new recruit Jurrien Timber to the club – Tokyo 2020 Olympic gold medallist Martinelli caught the attention of eagle-eyed viewers.
The 22-year-old could be seen playfully slapping French centre-back William Saliba on the head, before moving onto his next target – Partey.
Unlike Martinelli who was sitting down, Partey – in a row behind him – was standing up with his back turned, where he was in a deep conversation with someone.
Martinelli mischievously poked his bottom, which drew no reaction from the Ghana international.
Even versatile defender Ben White joined in, as he poked Partey from the front while sitting next to the ex-Atletico Madrid midfielder.
Social media was loving the funny incident, as one Twitter user said: “Did they not know they were being filmed? Lmao.”
Another commented: “Remember how shy and quiet Martinelli seemed on All Or Nothing? Now look at him!”
A third added: “Looks like a typical classroom in the UK.”
This fans then joked: “Looks like a classroom when the teacher steps out.”
Meanwhile another simply stated: “So much to unpack here.”
