West Ham Transfer news, rumours & nonsense
Have West Ham signed anyone yet? No, I thought not, although we are being linked with everyone at Manchester United. Here is a brief lunchtime round-up of the Hammers transfer news & rumours today. Many of the stories are regurgitated tittle tattle. As a result, many will be familiar, but don’t shoot the messenger.
Harry Maguire
A top class central defender or a very naughty boy? Wanted by Moyes and not wanted by Manchester United. Yesterday took a sly dig at Man U boss Erik ten Hag by praising his predecessor Ole Gunnar Solskjær. Awkward.
Scott McTominay
The 26 year old Scotland international would do a decent job for West Ham. Rumoured to be part of a double £60m bid which would also include Maguire.
Axel Disasi
Hilariously being reported as having the choice of Manchester United, Newcastle or West Ham. My advice is to hold off on that printed Disasi West Ham shirt from the club shop.
Jonathan Tah
His expiring release clause at Leverkusen was thought to have created an urgency to sign him. Evidently not.
Known to Tim Steidten so perhaps he has recommended him to David Moyes? However with the managers power of veto, it’s probably unlikely.
Sofyan Amrabat
We had a close look at the player last season. Serious interest from West Ham in the Fiorentina midfielder, but it’s not reciprocated.
Harvey Barnes
Newcastle are reportedly interested but have to sell the family silver to buy him . . . . I don’t believe a word of it.
The Saudi backed Toon have enough money and influence to circumvent FFP should they wish to. Perhaps I’m wrong, but I’m still unsure how much Newcastle want Barnes given their plethora of wide players.
James Ward Prowse
Southampton want £50 million for their captain and we value him at tuppence. David Moyes wants the player, and I can see this deal happening.
