Billy McKinlay has said that one West Ham player has given him and David Moyes something to think about during pre-season.
West Ham drew 2-2 with Dagenham and Redbridge yesterday, and remain unbeaten during our pre-season campaign thus far.

However, David Moyes and Billy McKinlay would not have been pleased with the performance from the Hammers in general yesterday.
It wasn’t horrendous but there just wasn’t much energy from the team. Maybe it was just jet-lag from our Australia tour, who knows.
There was one really bright performance in particular though…
McKinlay says one West Ham player has given him and Moyes something to think about during pre-season
The Hammers assistant boss spoke to WHUFC.com after our 2-2 draw with Daggers yesterday afternoon.
And McKinlay absolutely raved about Divin Mubama:
“I think Divin has given us something to think about. The gaffer said in Australia that he was really pleased with his contribution in the two games, so he’s had good exposure. What we always say is: ‘You’ve got your opportunity and it’s really important that you take it because you don’t get too many’. He’s been really impressive for the first couple of weeks of pre-season, so it’s really important that he keeps it going. Listen, it’s a simple equation that if you play well then you’re looking to get to the top of the pecking order and you’ll be in. Whether you’re 18 or 28, it doesn’t really matter. Divin has got to continue his good performances that he’s had over the last two or three games, and Michail Antonio will be back in a few days after his break and ready to go and we’ll take it from there.”
Mubama featured heavily in the new away kit launch yesterday, so it seems as though he definitely could feature regularly for the first-team this season.
The 18-year-old is a very special talent indeed, and if he continues to work hard I have no doubts that he’ll go on to become a top-class striker for West Ham.
That’s three goals in pre-season already for Mubama, and that really is great to see.
Hammers boss David Moyes has a really exciting talent on his hands in the form of Divin Mubama.
And as McKinlay said, the teenager’s performances during pre-season have definitely given the West Ham boss something to think about.
