Already requested by PSG in 2012, Paolo Maldini would have again received an offer to join the organization chart of the Ile-de-France club.
Appointed technical director of AC Milan in 2019, Paolo Maldini was officially dismissed from his position at the beginning of last month. The former defender was reportedly pushed out by Gerry Cardinale, the club’s American owner.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Italian has already received two offers to be able to bounce back. The first comes from the Italian Football Federation (FIGC), which would like to see him integrate the organization chart of the national team. The second would come from Paris Saint-Germain, without it being known what position it is. This is not the first time that the capital club has sounded out Paolo Maldini. Shortly after the acquisition of the latter by QSI, he had already been approached by the Rouge et Bleu. “Paris was interested in my profile in 2012, I spoke about it with Nasser Al-Khelaïfi. He asked me if I was willing to come and live in Paris. It didn’t happen in the end, despite the presence of Carlo Ancelotti and a phone call from Leonardo.”he confided in 2020 during an interview given to Telefoot.

If Paolo Maldini were to join the PSG organization chart, it would probably not be to be the head of recruitment. Despite a complicated first season, Luis Campos seems to retain the confidence of the leaders to occupy the position of football adviser.
