West Ham to make £17 million bid for left-back Adrien Truffert imminently
LesBonsConseilsduSport reckon that the Hammers are about to make a concrete offer for the French full-back in the next few days.
I think he’d be a really strong signing for us.
Truffert is a really exciting young talent, and is exactly the kind of player we should be trying to bring in, in my opinion.
He’d be a massive upgrade on Aaron Cresswell and would provide really strong competition and cover for Emerson Palmieri.
The French youngster bagged an impressive six assists in 28 Ligue 1 games for Rennes last season (Who Scored).
During those appearances, Truffert averaged 2.2 tackles and 1.6 clearances per match (Who Scored). He is very quick along the ground, tenacious in the tackle and is a real threat going forward.
If Rennes were to sell Adrien Truffert to West Ham for just £17 million this summer, I think it would be an absolute steal.
Let’s just hope that the Hammers owners manage to get this one done with the minimum of fuss over the next few days.
