Ward-Prowse deal not totally dead
It appears the Ward-Prowse deal may not be totally dead in the water after all.
Despite the fact that the Irons believe that Southampton are asking for too much money, there is report of a possible compromise being organised.
A new deal which would be structured heavily around performance related bonuses is the new plan.
A number of news outlets have reported that Southampton are attempting to agree a revised bid that will reward the south coast club with sizeable performance-related bonuses if the player were to establishe himself as West Ham’s most productive attacking player.”
There has to be a pretty reasonable chance of that happening with the player a set piece artist and the Hammers liking to set up perhaps a majority of goal scoring situations from such tactics.
I still don’t think he is good value though, but at the moment we seem to have little choice in transfer matters.
