If PSG remain favorites to retain their title of champion of France, OM are the main outsiders.
In a week, Ligue 1 will resume its rights. Like every season since the start of the last decade, Paris Saint-Germain will start out as big favorites for the title of champion of France. Except that the off-season of the capital club does not encourage optimism, with the soap opera Mbappé, an average Asian tour and a lackluster recruitment. For its part, Olympique de Marseille has managed to fill its ranks with players like Geoffrey Kondogbia, Renan Lodi, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Ismaïla Sarr, Ruben Blanco and Iliman Ndiaye.
“When I see the team that OM are creating, I believe that OM are capable of being a challenger for PSG this season. I don’t see 10,000 challengers, I mainly see one, OM. I think they can challenge PSG over the duration of a season. It means not finishing at 10 or 15 points, as in recent seasons where the 2nd did not exist. I think OM will exist this year”analyzed Daniel Riolo, who takes a much more pessimistic view of the Parisian rival.

Last season, Racing Club de Lens finished just one point behind PSG in the standings. However, the northern club had never really been a threat to the Rouge et Bleu. What OM could therefore be throughout the coming year.
