Hammers knocked back on McTominay
West Ham’s bid to bring Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay to the London Stadium may prove to be only half successful as Manchester United have turned down the £30 million offered for the midfielder.
It was originally thought that the Hammers had made a double bid but that’s not the case and whilst United may allow Maguire to move on, they have snubbed the McTominay offer.
The proposal sent over for McTominay was £30m and Manchester United have wasted no time in turning it down believing that undervalued him according to the Manchester Evening News.
It now remains to be seen whether the Irons will go back for him and should they do so it would mean they have spent the Declan Rice money on the United duo and Edson Alvirez.
West Ham have brought in £100m from selling Rice to Arsenal, while Nikola Vlasic is heading to Torino for £11m and And Gianluca Scamacca has joined Atalanta for an initial fee in the region of £22m.
Like every other club with which the hammers are trying to do business United are aware that we are flush with cash and as a result we are being pushed to our limits when negotiating.
