West Ham majority owner David Sullivan has responded to new claims that David Moyes could be sacked before start of season.
Only at West Ham could there be rumours the manager is facing the sack on the same day the club finally looks set to make their first signing of a difficult summer.
With a move for brilliant Ajax midfielder Edson Alvarez agreed, West Ham look set to break their summer transfer window duck.
But it comes against the backdrop of fresh claims that David Moyes could be sacked before the first game of the season at Bournemouth at the weekend.
Italian site TuttoMercatoWeb have stated the West Ham board are not happy with the Scot and could choose to bring in Graham Potter or Igor Tudor in his place before this weekend’s Premier League curtain raiser on the south coast.
As far as rumours go it sounds somewhat far fetched this close to the new campaign.

And that’s because it is.

Speaking to Hammers News, Sullivan he has denied the speculation describing it very simply as ‘rubbish’.
Just when West Ham look to finally be getting their house in order in the bid to make signings, the football media at large start mischief making.
Yes there have been issues aligning Moyes and new technical director Tim Steidten. That is very much a work in progress as it would be at most clubs.
But the imminent capture of Alvarez – a Steidten target – suggests some middleground has been found between the Scot and the German.
The 4-0 defeat and poor performance from West Ham at Bayer Leverkusen at the weekend sparked an angry reaction from fans.
But that was because it compounded fears and frustrations over West Ham’s lack of signings.
With Alvarez on the way and Moyes remaining in charge, let’s hope the Hammers can get the season off to a good start and add another five or six to the squad in what remains of the summer window this month.
