West Ham United have been deep in talks with Southampton regarding the potential signing of James Ward-Prowse since yesterday.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, West Ham are really keen to get a deal done for Southampton captain James Ward-Prowse by this weekend at the latest.

According to the Daily Mail, the Hammers are currently deep in talks to sign the English midfielder from Southampton.
If we can get a deal done for him at the right price, he will undoubtedly be a strong addition to Moyes’s ranks at the London Stadium.
Ward-Prowse, 28, is one of the best midfielders in the Premier League, and has been described as a ‘brilliant’ player by The Athletic.
He possesses truly unbelievable technical ability from set-pieces – arguably the very best in world football.
The Daily Mail reckon that £32 million might actually be enough for West Ham to get a deal done for James Ward-Prowse.
And if that is indeed the fee that Southampton are demanding for the 28-year-old, there’s no reason for the Hammers not to push this one through.
