Harry Kane received congratulatory message from close friend Tom Brady after completing £100m move to Bayern Munich… as the NFL legend backs the England striker to get an ‘injection of energy’ at his new club
Tom Brady has revealed he sent a good luck message to Harry Kane ahead of the England captain’s move to Bayern Munich.
Kane made his debut for the German champions on Saturday night as they were beaten 3-0 by RB Leipzig in the Super Cup, after moving from Tottenham for £100million at the end of last week.
Kane is a huge fan of NFL and struck up a friendship with Brady, a seven-time winner of the Super Bowl, via social media. And on learning of Kane’s switch, Brady promptly made contact.
‘I sent him a congratulatory note,’ said Brady, who attended Birmingham’s win over Leeds on Saturday after becoming a co-owner of the Championship club last month.
‘He has been a friend of mine for a long time, supporting me over a long period of time. I am looking forward to seeing what he does next.

‘Sometimes when you move clubs there is an injection of energy. It’s a different environment and that can be a great thing.’
The fixture at St Andrew’s was Brady’s first since investing in the club and he is excited about what lies ahead. He spoke to the players before and after the victory and the club insist he will play an active role.
Brady added: ‘It’s about doing whatever it takes. The players want people to help them succeed. However way we can do that, that’s what the role is. We don’t have all the answers but we are here to see where we can help.’
