Bournemouth ‘trigger Tyler Adams’ £20m release clause’ after USA star’s move from Leeds to Chelsea collapses
Bournemouth have reportedly triggered Tyler Adams’ £20million release clause after the Leeds and USA midfielder’s move to Chelsea collapsed.
The 24-year-old has been linked with a move away from Elland Road following Leeds’ relegation to the Championship last season. Now, according to multiple reports, Bournemouth are confident of landing the midfielder.
Adams saw a move to Chelsea fall through on Friday, despite the clubs initially agreeing a deal over his £20m release clause, and Mail Sport understands he is facing another four weeks out with his hamstring injury.
Chelsea’s commitment to signing Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia meant a deal for Adams was considered one too much, particularly as he will not be fully fit to play until next month.
