Bournemouth sign midfielder Tyler Adams from Leeds after meeting his £20m release clause… as USA captain signs five-year deal after Chelsea called off talks with him
Bournemouth have signed Tyler Adams from Leeds after meeting his £20million release clause.
The USA captain has put pen to paper on a five-year deal and joins Andoni Iraola’s side as their seventh signing of the summer.
He had been close to joining Chelsea earlier this month after the Blues triggered his release clause but they were unable to come to a full agreement with Leeds and the transfer was called off.
Aged 24, the midfielder was accumulated an array of experience at Ney York Red Bulls, RB Leipzig, and Leeds, also captaining the USA as they reached the last 16 of the 2022 World Cup.
He was one of the few bright sparks for Leeds last campaign as they suffered relegation from the Premier League.
