Udinese striker Beto is completing an Everton medical today after agreeing the terms of a £30million move, sources have told Football Insider.
The Merseysiders are putting the finishing touches to a deal for the 25-year-old Portuguese forward, who has been granted permission by his club to head to England.
Everton have had a bid for Beto accepted worth £30million including add-ons and terms have been agreed with the player.
Football Insider exclusively revealed on Saturday (13th August) that Everton were in advanced talks over a deal for Beto.
Discussions initially centred around a loan with an obligation to buy, but Udinese have insisted upon a permanent sale and that has now been agreed.
Beto’s arrival will provide a boost to Toffees fans after they watched their team’s poor start to the 2023/24 season continue on Saturday afternoon against Wolves.
Everton have now lost all three of their opening Premier League matches without scoring a single goal so far this campaign.
Toffees boss Sean Dyche will hope that Beto can provide more firepower for his side, with the striker scoring 10 and assisting two goals last season for Udinese.
He is already off the mark this season too after scoring and assisting in an Italian Cup match against Catanzaro earlier this month.
Beto first joined the Serie A outfit on loan in 2021 and has managed to score 22 goals in 65 appearances across all competitions during his two years in Italy.
