Arsenal loanee Charlie Patino made a fast start for Swansea City on his debut against West Bromwich Albion, coming off the bench to assist one goal and play a key role in another.
After a first start against Coventry City, the midfielder got another chance in the lineup against Preston North End, and he made it count by creating their opening goal once again.
Picking up the ball on the left touchline, Patino flicked a pass past a couple of defenders before making a run around the outside.
A clever return pass saw the Arsenal youngster getting in behind the defence, and he lifted a cross to Harrison Ashby to fire home for 1-0.
Patino put in a good performance on the day, winning 11 duels, four free kicks, and creating a couple of chances. But it’s still early days for his loan spell, and he was withdrawn in the 71st minute at 1-1.
Unfortunately, Swansea went on to concede again and lose the game 2-1, leaving them with just two points after four games.
Patino seems to be doing his job at the moment, but it’s not translating into results for the team just yet.
