PSG took the scalp of Rennes on the 8th day of Ligue 1.

It was at the half-hour mark that Paris would make the difference. Served on the right wing, Ousmane Dembélé returned to the center and slipped the leather to Vitinha who hit the mark with a curling shot from the right corner opposite. Realistically, PSG doubled the lead two minutes later. On a perfect opening from Zaire-Emery, Hakimi, alone, managed a well-placed header.
But Gouiri reduced the score at the start of the second half. On an intercepted pass from Ramos, Assignon fed Blas on the right side. The former Nantes man crossed six meters and found Gouiri who was quicker than Hakimi with a header to beat Donnarumma.
However, PSG would regain the advantage two minutes later. Following a service from Achraf Hakimi, Randal Kolo Muani scored with the flat of his left foot from close range to prevent PSG from doubting. 1-3, final score. PSG is back on the podium (3rd) 2 points behind the Monegasque leader.
