Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has shown interest in securing the services of Bayern Munich’s rising star, Jamal Musiala, as reported by Sport Bild.
The 20-year-old has shown huge development in recent years, earning recognition as one of the world’s top young talents. The attacking midfielder has already accumulated over 130 senior appearances with Bayern.
In the previous season, the German star delivered an outstanding performance, registering 16 goals and 16 assists in 47 appearances across all competitions.
His remarkable displays even earned him a spot on the shortlist for the 2023 Ballon d’Or award.

Although the 20-year-old is under contract with his parent club until June 2026, the club is eager to secure him to a new long-term deal.
Guardiola is reportedly interested in bringing the talented star to the Premier League. However, Liverpool are also mentioned as a club showing interest in the German youngster.
While Man City currently has a top-class attacking midfielder in Kevin de Bruyne, Musiala is seen as a potential successor to that role.
The current champions may consider making a move for the midfielder in the upcoming summer transfer window, but it’s expected that they would need to offer a huge fee to persuade Bayern to part with one of their most valuable assets.

Liverpool should be concerned by this recent development as they have previously seen their former targets being snatched by other elite clubs. This summer, Chelsea hijacked their attempts to sign midfielders Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo.
This led to Klopp making a move for former Bayern star Ryan Gravenberch.
