The Premier League have confirmed their nominees for the October Player of the Month award, and Arsenal’s Declan Rice is among those in contention.
You can vote for the midfielder here, as he joins Douglas Luiz, Bryan Mbeumo, Pedro Neto, Cristian Romero, and Mohamed Salah in the running for the accolade.
Rice perhaps had his best month yet for Arsenal, scoring a long-range goal against Chelsea and assisting one against Sheffield United, as well as playing the full 90 minutes of the win over Manchester City.
Though he didn’t score or assist against City, that match was one of Rice’s better games for his new club, shutting down multiple attacks from the opposition and keeping the Gunners in it until the end.
There’s no doubt Rice had an excellent month, and he also impressed and provided an assist against Sevilla in the Champions League, but that won’t count towards this award.
With Tottenham Hotspur dominating the Premier League Player of the Month awards so far this season, it would be nice to see Arsenal wrestling back control of the individual accolades.
Rice has also been nominated for Arsenal’s Player of the Month award for October, along with three other players.
