- Marcus Rashford taken off after clash with Trent Alexander-Arnold

Manchester United have suffered a double injury blow after Marcus Rashford and Andre Onana went off within minutes of each other during their respective international games on Friday.
Rashford was substituted in the second half of England’s Euro 2024 qualifier against Malta moments after colliding with team-mate Trent Alexander-Arnold.
It is unclear how serious a knock the Manchester United forward picked up but he was immediately replaced by Chelsea‘s Cole Palmer.
Onana meanwhile left the pitch with physio staff, 80 minutes into Cameroon’s 3-0 win over Mauritius in a World Cup qualifier.
It will be a potential worry for United boss Erik ten Hag, who is already without Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw, Casemiro, Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Hojlund.

The recent injury woes have only added to the problems at Old Trafford, with Ten Hag struggling to find any sort of consistency in terms of results.
A much-needed 1-0 win was recorded against Luton in the final game before the international break, but a host of key players are now set to miss the trip to Everton when United return to action.
Rashford has struggled to recapture the form that saw him score 30 goals in all competitions last season, with the forward finding the net just once so far this term.
The 26-year-old was criticised by Ten Hag after attending a nightclub to celebrate his birthday just hours after United had been beaten 3-0 by Manchester CIty.
However, the Dutchman will surely be desperate to have Rashford available for the trip to Goodison Park following the injury to Hojlund.
United confirmed earlier this week that the summer signing from Atalanta will be sidelined until the end of November.
Onana meanwhile has struggled for form since his £40m arrival from Inter Milan back in the summer.
He has made a number of errors for the Red Devils during the opening months of the season, but he has rarely played in front of the same back four in consecutive games due to their injuries.
Like Rashford, it’s unsure at this moment how serious Onana’s injury is.
