good morning!
It’s the day after Thanksgiving here in America. It may as well be a holiday – Thanksgiving Pt, 2, the return.
One of my favourite traditions as a kid during Thanksgiving was going to the cinema after Thanksgiving dinner. Now I cannot remember every single film I saw, but one was Christmas With the Kranks.
That was 2004. Good memories. Gret movie.
One of my favourites, which I watched a couple years ago, is Planes Trains and Automobiles with Steve Martin. Wonderful film.
And there are a good handful of movies coming out this weekend. Leo, which is about a lizard and stars Adam Sandler, came out recently. Looks like a good one.
Then there’s the Disney film Wish, and I really don’t know what that’s about.
Melissa McCarthy stars in a straight-to-streaming film called Genie. That seems more like your gimmicky Christmas flick.
And who could forget about Trolls Band Together ?
Let’s also not forget about Maestro, which just seems like a ploy to give Bradley Cooper and Oscar somewhere.
But the big one, and the one that your HIC is most interested in, is Napoleon starring Joaquin Phoenix as the film’s titular character.
I’ve looked forward to this one for months. It’s gotten such horrible reviews though. I’m still gonna give it a shot.
The new Taika Waititi film also looks fun. But that comes after Napoleon.
