As we surge through the month of December already heading towards the double figure stage, for many of us love a good transfer rumour that means things are about to heat up.
The festive period of football matches is super busy for Chelsea, but the transfer market opening in January will also mean that the club’s decision makers and recruitment team will be getting ready for a potentially busy period as well.
Nobody is expecting Chelsea to be as busy as they have been the last three windows, but there are still a couple of positions potentially on the agenda.
A striker is obviously one of those, which we keep hearing about. And now journalist Ben Jacobs has provided the very latest on Chelsea’s potential pursuit of either Ivan Toney or Victor Osimhen in his latest exclusive and extensive Chelsea column for SPTC this week.
🚨 EXCL: @JacobsBen Chelsea column!

Jacobs said: “Obviously a lot of focus has been on a No.9 with both Ivan Toney and Victor Osimhen linked. My understanding on Toney remains that internally there still isn’t consensus yet that he’s the one to go for in January, and Brentford are going to make it really difficult for any mid-season suitors.”
Toney would be a decent option for Chelsea and he would certainly fill the desire that Mauricio Pochettino seems to want – more Premier League experience.
