We’ve had a few photos of Christopher Nkunku training at Cobham recently, and today we got the final stage – he joined in the full team session this afternoon.
It’s a big moment, given that the whole season is basically resting on him being an instant superstar for us. Given how badly things are going overall, it’s the last remaining card we have to play.
We do sincerely hope he’s not been rushed back. That would be the only way to make this dire situation even worse.

Mauricio Pochettino all but ruled him out of Sunday’s game, and we still wouldn’t expect to see him particularly soon, but this is clearly an important step, and from next week we expect him to be in full group training every day. We are now at most two weeks away from an Nkunku start for Chelsea – and there’s no denying, that’s exciting for all of us.
