Friends, let me tell you a secret: I was kind of looking forward to this season where Tottenham Hotspur only plays one match a week. The Conte and Mourinho years burned me out after having to cover Europa Conference League and Champions League matches, and the games came so thick and fast that covering the team started to feel like a job and less like a passion project. One match a week for a season? Luxury.
Weeks like this one, where they cram two match weeks into seven days because reasons has brought back a little of the ol’ panic. Where’s my manageable match coverage schedule? I don’t like this.
Anyway, all that’s to say we have a full slate of Premier League matches today ahead of Tottenham hosting Newcastle tomorrow. This is your open thread for them. Did you get your fantasy lineup switched around? Good.
