Bayern Munich seem to have a knack for signing any Bundesliga player that performs well enough to catch their attention. In this case, it’s Bayer Leverkusen center-back Jonathan Tah. Sky Sports’ Florian Plettenberg (via @iMiaSanMia) reported that Tah’s representatives said he would be open to moving to Munich, but no agreement or offer has been made. His price tag is €20 million; several Premier League clubs are monitoring his situation too.
Tah himself has acknowledged the interest but is putting it off until the end of the season (Sport Bild via @iMiaSanMia). “You’re happy when you’re linked to such a club. But now I’m focused on the two titles that we can still win”. I’m in good contact with Simon [Rolfes] and Fernando [Carro]. Everything else we’ll see after [the end of the season] — just like Simon said.”
Simon says: terminate your contract and transfer to Bayern Munich.
Simon Rolfes, sporting director for Die Werkself, also talked about Tah’s future and the interest from the Rekordmeister (Sky Sports via @iMiaSanMia). “The fact that at a certain age, you think about the possibility of doing something else is understandable and not a problem. But I have a good feeling that he’s staying – because he knows what happened here in the past few years and also what is still possible. That’s why I’m very relaxed.”
