When someone mentions “best striker in the world,” you would automatically think of the likes of Erling Haaland and Harry Kane. Both of those players have experience playing in the Bundesliga and Premier League, and it looks like Bayern Munich are looking to continue that trend by bringing in the next big thing straight out of Arsenal FC.
According to a report from TeleFootball (as captured by Twitter account @iMiaSanMia), the Bavarians are monitoring Chido Obi-Martin from Arsenal’s U-18 team. The 17-year-old is making waves for his goal-scoring antics, netting 28 goals and two assists in 16 U18 Premier League games. That’s an average of 1.8 goals per game! Chido scored 10 goals in a 14-3 thrashing of Liverpool U-16 back in November.
Although Bayern has Mathys Tel in their ranks, he is currently being played as a striker/winger hybrid and not as an out-and-out striker like Chido. With the Rekordmeister also looking for a striker, this might be the big break that Chido needs.
