Konrad Laimer has been a revelation for Bayern Munich since joining from RB Leipzig. Laimer joined Bayern on a free transfer in 2023 and while the Austrian has been used to varying degrees since last summer, the midfielder has never complained. Laimer is reported to see wearing the Bayern shirt as a privilege.

Konrad Laimer sees it as a privilege to wear the Bayern shirt. The Austrian has never complained, regardless of the role Thomas Tuchel had planned for him. This attitude, along with his team spirit are highly valued internally at Bayern. Laimer is one of a few players in the squad not affected by the upcoming overhaul. Within the club’s hierarchy, it is said that Laimer is a player who can be relied on, although he’s neither a classic possession style player nor a classic defensive midfielder – but a pressing player who is uncomfortable to play against and who covers every meter on the pitch. The club is planning with him for the future.
Georg Holzner from kicker reports that the Austrian has never complained regardless of the role that Tuchel had planned for him. Laimer signed onto the Bayern project when Nagelsmann was the coach so there might have been a problem with expectations when arriving, but that hasn’t been the case.
It is said that his positive attitude is highly valued internally and Laimer will not be one of the players on the transfer list this summer. The club is reportedly planning with him for the future despite a potential shakeup in midfield.
It is rare to see players with such patience and respect for the club, and the club is paying it back by trusting the player in the future. On top of great attitude, Laimer has been excellent of late with some outstanding Champions League performances in mind.
