The curious case of Alphonso Davies drags on as his future is still in limbo. Originally linked to a move to Real Madrid, the Bayern Munich wingback fell off hard during that period which has drawn the ire of most fans. Now, that move might not even come to fruition due to Madrid flinching at the idea of having two starting left-backs in the team.
According to the report, it would be very strange if Alphonso Davies and Ferland Mendy share a dressing room at Valdebebas next season. LB is one of the positions, RMA do not want to have two potential starting XI candidates.

Madrid then decided to shift their focus to extending Mendy instead of signing Davies, and this does not even include Fran García who is already understudy to the left-back in the Spanish capital. With the Rekordmeister now having a go at Theo Hernández from AC Milan, Davies has his work cut out if he were to regain the trust of the Bayern faithful. He might get that chance in the Champions League when Bayern and Madrid take each other on again.
