Man United could be without Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial for their huge Champions League game vs Bayern Munich tomorrow.
Manchester United play a huge Champions League game under the Old Trafford floodlights tomorrow. Erik ten Hag has a chance to prove that this side can compete with the elite, with Bayern Munich visiting the Theatre of Dreams.
Even if the Reds win, there’s no guarantee United qualify for the knockout stages, with the club also now reliant on Galatasaray and Copenhagen playing out a draw.
Ahead of the game, Erik ten Hag confirmed that Victor Lindelof is an injury doubt after suffering a problem last week.
Now, the club are sweating on the availability of another pair; Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.
The reliable James Ducker tweeted that the duo are not in training ahead of the game with illness. Rashford, who was dealing with the problem before the weekend, was fit enough for a place on the bench. However, he’s now suffering again.
Check out James Ducker’s tweet on the news here:
Rashford and Martial not training for #mufc as both are ill. Rashford was ill on Friday but ended up being well enough to take place on bench but absent again now

Obviously, neither Rashford or Martial are flavour of the month right now. Both attackers have been struggling for any sort of form this season, while the latter was absolutely woeful again at the weekend against Bournemouth.
However, you’d rather have them available as suddenly, the attacking options are very thin. It’s Rasmus Hojlund as the only fit striker, while Alejandro Garnacho and Antony look pretty much dead-set to start on the wings. The only other option will be Facundo Pellistri off the bench.
It just highlights how important it is to have a squad, rather than just a starting line-up. Injuries are inevitable over the course of a long season and with some huge games coming up, it’s pretty tough for Ten Hag to overcome.
