Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag and unsettled forward Marcus Rashford could allegedly both leave Old Trafford this summer.
Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag and unsettled forward Marcus Rashford could reportedly both leave Old Trafford at the end of the 2023-24 campaign.
The relationship between the two individuals has allegedly broken down, with a recent report claiming that the duo are ‘barely on speaking terms’.
Man United are said to have fined Rashford two weeks’ wages last month for visiting a nightclub in Dublin on two separate evenings and then calling in sick for training before his side’s FA Cup clash with Newport County, with Ten Hag still said to be furious with the attacker’s conduct.
Staff at the club are said to be concerned that the relationship between the two cannot be repaired, and according to The Mirror, both could be on their way out of Old Trafford this summer.
The report claims that Man United’s new minority shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe is preparing to change the culture at the club, and senior figures believe that at least one of Ten Hag or Rashford will have to leave this summer, but it is possible that both will be moved on.

Paris Saint-Germain are said to be keen on Rashford, with the French giants in the market for a replacement for Kylian Mbappe, who is widely expected to move to Real Madrid on a free transfer.
Despite his struggles this season, the England international remains Man United’s ‘most saleable asset’, and a big-money departure would boost the team’s budget for the summer transfer window.
The 26-year-old again struggled to make his mark while operating as a centre-forward in Wednesday’s FA Cup fifth-round contest with Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
Rasmus Hojlund‘s muscular injury has forced Rashford into that area for the team’s last two matches, but he found it difficult against Fulham in the Premier League last time out and again did not have an impact against Forest, with Casemiro heading the late winner for the Red Devils.

Rashford has only scored five goals and registered six assists in 32 appearances for Man United this season and has often cut a frustrated figure on the field.
Ten Hag, meanwhile, is yet to be publicly backed by Ratcliffe, and there is uncertainty over whether he will be in charge for the start of the 2024-25 campaign.
A recent report claimed that Ratcliffe ‘dreams’ of appointing Zinedine Zidane as the club’s new head coach, while Brighton & Hove Albion manager Roberto De Zerbi is also said to be admired.
Man United are still chasing silverware this season, preparing to host Liverpool in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup next month, while they are battling for a Champions League finish in the Premier League table.
The 20-time English champions are currently sixth in the division, three points behind fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur and eight behind fourth-placed Aaron Villa ahead of Sunday’s Manchester derby.
