Luke Littler was knocked out in the semi-finals of the Premier League on night six in Brighton.
Littler breezed past Nathan Aspinall 6-3 in his quarter-final to add another two points to his tournament tally, but came up short against Michael Smith in the last four.
Smith raced into a 3-0 lead as he punished Littler’s poor finishing, but Littler hit back to take the next two legs.
The 17-year-old sensation looked set to continue his comeback, but missed more darts at the double in the sixth leg, and Smith stepped in to take it.
The 2023 world champion didn’t look back from there, as he nailed double four to move within a leg of victory.

Littler had earlier beaten Nathan Aspinall in the quarter-finals to get another two points on the board
Littler got one more leg to increase the tension, but Smith kept his nerve to claim a 6-3 win.
Across the opening six weeks of the Premier League, Littler has now been knocked out in the semi-finals on four occasions.
He made the final in week two in Berlin, but was beaten by Michael van Gerwen in a last-leg decider.
The following week he lost to Gerwyn Price in their quarter-final clash – the only time he has failed to register a point on a single night.
