Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that Reece James could be involved in the matchday squad against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
The Blues have picked up form with seven points from their previous three league games and they are currently placed seventh in the standings.
Ahead of the visit of City Ground, Pochettino has said that James will be assessed and he could be available after a long-term injury lay-off.
He said: “We need to see today but maybe he can be available in the squad, yes.”
James has been on the sidelines since December after a hamstring surgery. He went under the knife, having picked up recurring setbacks.
The Englishman will be keen to stay unscathed from next season. Pochettino may not want to rush him back to action yet.
Malo Gusto seems likely to start at right-back this weekend. James could be introduced off the bench during the final 30 or so minutes.
