It is going to be a busy summer of football for Europe’s leading players, as once the 2023/24 domestic campaigns end, the focus then swings towards Euro 2024. Brighton fans can expect to see several Seagull players in action in Germany.
Here is a look at who will be involved and the chances of their respective countries.
Pascal Gross (Germany)
Seagull’s vice-captain Pascal Gross has played five times for Germany over the last couple of years following his impressive performances in the Premier League. The 32-year is in contention to start for the hosts in their midfield at the tournament.

Gross faces some fierce competition in his national team’s midfield, including from Robert Andrich, who has had an excellent season for Bayer Leverkusen.
The German champions are the 2/5 favourites in the Europa League betting for the final, and Andrich can boost his chances with a big performance in that game.
Germany are one of the leading football betting tips for Euro 2024 as they will have home advantage this summer. They had excellent victories over France and the Netherlands in their last warm-up games. Gross came off the bench for the latter in the 2-1 success at the Waldstadion in Frankfurt.
Lewis Dunk (England)
Brighton defender Lewis Dunk is not only likely to be included in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for Euro 2024, but he could also be a starter alongside John Stones at the tournament. The Three Lions head coach is a big fan of the commanding centre-back.

Drunk made his debut for England back in 2018 but he then had to wait until 2023 for his next appearance for his country. He has been a regular over the last two years in the heart of Southgate’s defence.
England go into the European Championship as one of the favourites to lift the trophy. They were runners-up at Euro 2020, losing agonisingly on penalties to Italy. With that experience on their side, they could go one step further this summer and end England’s long wait for a major trophy.
Jakub Moder (Poland)
Poland qualified for Euro 2024 after beating Wales in a penalty shootout in the final of their play-off path. This is a great chance for Brighton midfielder Jakub Moder to feature at another major tournament. Unfortunately, he missed out on the 2022 World Cup due to a long-term injury.
Moder returned to the national team back in March for their play-off match against Estonia. He was a second-half substitute in that 5-1 success. The former Polish Newcomer of the Year is likely to be in Poland head coach Michael Probierz’s plans, as the midfielder has a lot of experience at the highest level.
The 25-year-old will be doing all he can to help Brighton end the season strongly. That will then give him the best chance of becoming a starter for Poland at Euro 2024 in what will be his second consecutive European Championship.
Each of the 24 teams participating at Euro 2024 has until the 7th of June to announce their squads for the tournament, so keep an eye out for those lists.
