Ederson has revealed multiple text messages he received from Arsenal supporters prior to Manchester City’s win over Tottenham after his phone number was leaked.
The City goalkeeper had the last laugh as Pep Guardiola‘s side secured a 2-0 victory over Spurs to move top of the table heading into the final game of the season despite Arsenal fans doing their best to put him off.
Pre-match discussion heading into Tuesday’s match was dominated by Arsenal fans and players calling on their arch rivals to do them a huge favour by beating or even drawing against City.
Such a result would have given Arsenal the advantage heading into the final day of the season where they now must rely on City to slip-up against West Ham at the Etihad on Sunday.
Ederson was left fuming after being subbed off in the second half following a nasty head collision with the hip of Tottenham defender Cristian Romero, but appeared in a better mood following the game as he shared hilarious messages he had received from Arsenal fans.

The Brazilian revealed his personal phone number had been leaked before City’s game against Tottenham, prompting Arsenal fans to send a barrage of text messages in an attempt to unnerve the goalkeeper.
Ederson posted a picture of his WhatsApp chats in an online post with the caption: ‘My number was leaked, and I had some funny messages.’
One message from a hopeful Arsenal fan read: ‘Hello you beautiful Brazilian god, how much for a good night tonight?’.
Another upfront text stated: ‘Don’t let in any howlers tonight you s***er. Up the Arsenal’.

The text scandal was another desperate attempt by Arsenal fans who are doing everything possible to try and unsettle City during the end-of-the-season run-in as the Gunners attempt to lift a first Premier League title since 2003.
Fireworks were set off by Arsenal fans outside a London hotel where they believed City were staying on Monday evening the night before their game against Spurs.
It was later revealed Gunners supporters had wasted their time with City staying in Manchester and not travelling up to the capital until the day of the game.
