2024 has been a whirlwind so far for Bayern Munich winger Bryan Zaragoza.
After inking a contract to make the move to Bavaria this summer back in January, Zaragoza was called into action early and unexpectedly spent the second half of the season with Bayern Munich due to a plethora of injuries at the club.
While it was not easy, Zaragoza said that he did have the full support of his teammates.
“I left Granada and it was complicated, I had everything there. I wanted to grow, work. Bayern is one of the best teams in the world and I wanted to share a dressing room with the best coaches and players in the world. When I arrived at Bayern it was a bit difficult for me to believe where I was. I saw Harry Kane, (Thomas) Müller, (Jamal) Musiala…they are top players that I’ve been watching for many years and everything surprised me a lot. In the dressing room nobody speaks Spanish, but (Eric Maxim) Choupo-Moting helped me a lot. It’s a great dressing room, they supported me a lot,” Zaragoza told Jijantes FC (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
One other player who also made an impact on Zaragoza was Joshua Kimmich.
“He’s crazy, a born competitor. Even in training and warm-ups he starts screaming like crazy. For a dressing room and for a team, you need people with that mindset, people who want to win everything. Wherever you put him, he plays and does the job, he doesn’t care. What he wants is to win, win and win. He’s a player who would play in any position because he is top. He can play everywhere,” Zaragoza remarked.
