Nottingham Forest are all set to wrap up a deal to sign 24-year-old winger Ramon Sosa from Talleres, after the Paraguay international flew in to England yesterday to undergo a medical and finalise personal terms. The 24-year-old attacker is said to be delighted that a move to Forest is set to go through, and will pen a four year contract at the City Ground.
The 5 foot 10 winger began his career playing for River Plate, before a transfer to Olimpia and later Gimasia LP followed. His current club, Talleres, signed the player in 2023 and he had since appeared 48 times, scoring an impressive 14 goals for his team.
Forest scouts identified Sosa as a possible transfer target in February, and have deployed their team to monitor his progress since. Catching the eye in recent months, the club decided to pull the trigger on a transfer deal and will pay around £9 million for the attacker, capped 14 times by his country.
Forest will beat Italian side Genoa and German clubs VfL Bochum and Arminia Bielefeld to Sosa’s signature.
