Tottenham Hotspur have been looking to bring a new wide forward in the ongoing summer transfer window. We have seen Ange Postecoglou obsessed with having the upper hand in the wide spaces along the previous campaign, and the Australian gaffer is looking to add to similar ranks in his Spurs roster to ensure that he continues to do so in the season to come and beyond.
The North Londoners finally have a focal point to the attack in Dominic Solanke and how the former Celtic boss is obsessed with signing a wide forward who can aid the ex-Liverpool striker.
Spurs already have a plethora of talents out wide, and Ange is looking to add to the likes of Son, Kulusevski, Brennan Johnson, Solomon, and Timo Werner, with the latter being converted into a wide player by Ange following his loan move from RB Leipzig last season.
Arsenal join race for Bayern star Coman
The Lilywhites have been looking in the market for a winger and are subject to links with multiple commendable players from around Europe, the latest of them being Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman.
While the French ace has an abundance of talent, he has been courted by Spurs’ North London neighbours Arsenal in a potential transfer in the ongoing summer transfer window. The Gunners entering the race for the €326,923-gross-per-week star makes the deal trickier for Daniel Levy, as Mikel Arteta’s side would definitely be the preferred destination for players owing to the project they are enjoying at the Emirates Stadium.
Should Tottenham sign Kingsley Coman?
Adding Coman to the ranks would also come with hefty wages, which makes it a trickier deal for Spurs, as Daniel Levy is quite structured with the wage book at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Any move for the former PSG star is suggested to be an initial loan deal at the moment.
We will see how this turns out; albeit, on paper, it doesn’t make any sense for Spurs to land his services. The club can rather go for cheaper alternatives that can play a similar role while not being such a burden on the financial books.
