Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga is on Bournemouth’s radar for a possible loan move, talkSPORT understands.
The Spanish shot-stopper has been deemed as surplus to requirements by the Blues, and is not in boss Enzo Maresca’s plans.
Kepa is one of several Chelsea stars that are training away from the first team along with Raheem Sterling, Romelu Lukaku, Ben Chilwell and Trevoh Chalobah.
The 29-year-old spent last season on loan at Real Madrid where he made 20 appearances in all competitions – winning a LaLiga title as well as the Champions League and Spanish Super Cup.
It is believed that talks have been held between the Cherries and the west London giants.
However there are complications needing to be addressed before Kepa can move to the Vitality Stadium, where he would compete with Neto for a starting spot.
With just a year left on his contract, Chelsea want him to sign a new deal to protect themselves from losing him on a free transfer, having spent £72million when they signed him.
They would want Kepa to agree terms on a reduced-money contract.
But Bournemouth would require Chelsea to make a significant contribution to his wages – or see them cut enough for them to cover in full.
Along with Kepa, Andoni Iraola is also considering a move for Arsenal‘s Aaron Ramsdale.
Though it is understood that Kepa remains Bournemouth’s top target.
England international Ramsdale made 37 Premier League appearances for the south coast side during the 2019/20 season.
Like Kepa, Ramsdale has fallen down the pecking order, with his future uncertain at the Emirates.
Though it remains to be seen whether Arsenal will allow Ramsdale to depart on loan.
The title challengers have already knocked back a loan move from Dutch outfit Ajax.
Wolves recently submitted a loan move of their own for Ramsdale, which includes a buy option.
As it stands, Wolves’ offer to Arsenal remains on the table, with the north Londoners seeking a fee in the region of £25m.
