Bayern Munich now has the list of seven teams that they will play against under the newly revamped Champions League. The club will play four home and away games each, playing each team once, and this is what the calendar looks like:
As you can see, the group stage will spill over to the next year instead of the usual finish by mid-December. Bayern begins their UCL campaign by hosting Dinamo Zagreb, followed by two away games on the bounce to Aston Villa and FC Barcelona. Another set of home games sees the Bavarians invite Benfica and Paris Saint-Germain, before a second set of away games at Shakhtar Donetsk and Feyenoord precede a final home game against Slovan Bratislava.
Of those teams, PSG, Villa, and a rejuvenated Barca side will be the biggest challenges for the Bavarians, who is aiming for a top 8 finish to bypass the Round of 32 phase into the knockouts.
