Bayern Munich desperately wants to keep Jamal Musiala and the club is now in talks with representatives for the player.
In his work for CaughtOffside (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), transfer expert Fabrizio Romano says that Bayern Munich will go all out to keep Musiala and is confident that it can retain the youngster:
Bayern are ‘confident’ about keeping Jamal Musiala at the club. His contract is a really important topic for the board, they simply can’t fail on this mission. Negotiations are ongoing, but it’s too early to say how it will finish. There’s no decision yet.
Romano (via @iMiaSanMia) checked back in with more information as well. Real Madrid and Manchester City are among the clubs that “love” Musiala:
Bayern have already presented a new contract proposal to Jamal Musiala. There’s already a conversation and a kind of negotiation going on. But it’s not something that’s going to be resolved overnight. Bayern are ready to offer ‘really important’ money to Musiala in terms of fixed salary, add-ons and special bonuses to keep him at the club.
Bayern are pushing and their goal is to resolve the situation before summer 2025 to avoid arriving at a point where the player would only have one year left on his contract. All top clubs, including Real Madrid and Man City, love Musiala – and will be there in case Bayern can’t agree a new deal with him.
